How does water get into the hot water tank?

I have a 1997 and need to know How does the water go from the two tanks to the hot water tank?  What if my bow tank is removed?

You should have two valves underneath the galley inside the galley opening door.  One is for the forward tank, one for the aft.  If you remove the forward tank, just close the valve connected to it.  The water flows from each of the tanks to the header (the short length of pipe that the valves are connected to) with those two valves.  From the header it goes to the fresh water pump and then splits, to cold water to faucets and to the hot water heater, through it and to the hot water faucets.
