Isn't that an amazing aspect of the marine industry?  You would think that with all the BOAT (break out another thousand) units that are passed from owners to various vendors that that sort of arrogance would be the exception, not the rule.

We have a canvas place right in our marina.  When we went in to talk to them about some major work, the first thing they said was "We don't have time right now and can't work on your boat for a few months."

There is a C34 owner at Hathorne Cove that does canvas also; John McCormack. Owns Anastasia.
He did my canvas at the end of the 05 season. Has a good rep in the yard, which is why I went with him.
I don't know if he also does the tubing.

funny story ed, i was supposed to buy his boat back in '04. deal went sour, after i paid for the short haul and survey, plus i put on 2 new zincs before putting back in water. i lost about $800- in the deal. was going to use him to do bimini, but my wife asked me if i was crazy. he does good work, but he screwed me and i will never give him any work....jeff

I purchased my winter cover from the Canvas Store four years ago. I received a winter discount as I was ordering in November for a January delivery. I received the discounted price, and they sent me the cover by Thanksgiving. The cover has been great for four winters. I can install it myself, but prefer having help. I have nothing negative to say about the Canvas Store. the price was right, the delivery months ahead of what they said, the product has performed well for 4 winters. I may add additional grommets before next winter due to the wind we get where Kindred Spirit is stored.
