dinghy davits for inflatable

I have found numerous threads about Weaver snap davits being successfully used on rigid dinghys but has anyone successfully used this system (or other pivot systems) successfully?  My inflatable is 8 feet and I suspect that it will work within the transom of a MkII (2005) but would like to be sure before purchasing.
