Pedestal Guard

I'm in the process of buying a 1997 Catalina 34 and it's in CT, I'm in MA and the broker isn't in today.  I need to know if anyone knows the standard width of the pedestal guard as I'm trying to order a Navpod for some new instruments.  Is it 9.5"???

I have an 88 model and it is 9.5. They have more than one diameter now so be careful what you order. i found what i thought was a great deal a new offset guard for 50 dollars. the problem is that it is 1.250 instead of 1 inch.

Jim : If you don't want to call Catalina and ask them, ask Edson (508-995-9711) as they made the pedestal !!

I just replaced my pedestal on my 1987 C34 and in my research you can use the 1.25 diameter even though I chose to stay with the 1" diameter.

You can carefully drill out the 1" holes in the Guard Plate and replace the 1" guard foot with a 1.25" guard foot.
