Diesel Engine fuel system

David : Change the Racor filter (2 micron) every spring and the engine fuel filter (10/15 micron) every 4 or 5 years.  Remember that the pick up tube is taking fuel from the bottom of the tank where all of the crud is.  A diesel doesn't require much maintenance, but clean fuel is on the top of the list. 
Cheap insurance for a good running engine.
