New owner

I am a new Catalina owner.
First excuse my bad english!
I purchased my boat last september # 58  1986. She was on Lake Erié. Now in Lac St-Jean north east Quebec (near the moon).
My first question is: What kind of sails was the standard in 1986. My sails are from North, i think that is not original sails...

This may be hard to believe, but the first 1986 boats came without sails.  Most of us bought our sails from a local sail maker, as Catalina had a BAD reputation of having very poor sails (quality and fit).
