Fluxgate Compass -

I have read all the posts I can find on the best location to mount the flux-gate. It seems that the factory ( Ocean Equipment ) mounts them port side near the waste tank. My question is where exactly do they mount it, is it in the storage locker just forward of the waist tank on the bulk head? I would like to mount where Ocean Equipment mounts them.

Also does any one else have two flux-gates? I do... One is for the Gyro plus heading sensor and one is for the ST4000. Does anyone no how close you can mount two fluxgate together?

On my MKII, it is mounted just forward of the waste tank.  It's not mounted in the little locker forward of the waste tank, but in the same space of the waste tank, right on the bulkhead that separates both lockers.

On my Mk II the fluxgate is mounted in the hanging locker by the nav station.
