spinnaker halyard

I'll be flying an asymmetrical spinnaker for the first time on this boat this season. I have been storing with the mast up so I haven't scrutinized the spinnaker halyard where it exits the top of the mast. It appears that it is in front of the forestay. Is this my only concern? On my 27, I mounted a crane with a swivel block for optimum results. In that case the halyards were not led thru the mast so I had to lead the halyard forward of the forestay attachment, at the top.

Thanks in advance,

Ken

Ken : Not too sure what your question really is?
The spinnaker halyard on a C34 should exit the front of the mast about 6ft below the top and go to a sheave attached to the bail on the mast cap which if in front of the head stay.
Hope this helps.

Ron,

Thanks. I'll get a pair of binocs and check for this configuration. I may have been confused in that I was comparing this to an entirely different mast head arrangement on my catalina 27.
