I thought I answered that already: "Obviously, the looks are quite different. You will need the Rain Drain ports, which are designed to be installed on slanted surfaces. They installed the Rain Drains in the cockpit, too, although not actually required. Size is 5 x 12 as noted above."

My guess is that they bought them in bulk, and rather than having two different models, chose to install the rain drains in all locations.  Self drains will work on the vertical surfaces of the cockpit.
