I am thinking of buying a 1986 Catalina 34. It is in dry storage and I have noticed the "Catalina Smile " being new to buying  I wonder if this is something I should be worried about and also what is the proper way to fix this condition ? I welcome any comments and advice about this boat. It is in good shape and I think will make a great boat  for my mate & I.  Chuck

  You should have the boat surveyed and also use the search feature here for catalina smile and its remedies. It can be repaired, but as with all things there are correct and incorrect methods. Good luck to you. And let us know what happens.
