I would like to know if it is a Balsa or Plywood core on the deck?

I'm not sure, but I don't think it's treated.  Give the folks at Catalina Yachts a call to be sure.

Martial : I believe it's marine grade plywood.  If it had any other treatment you'll have to call the factory as Ted mentioned.
