Replacing Zincs

My husband Paul has replaced the zinc on the propeller now he wants to replace the zinc on the engine and finds it extremely difficult to get to it.  Is there a special tool to get it off -- there seems to be no room to remove the bolt and get it off so he can replace it.  It is a Westerbeke engine and he has to wait until Monday to contact the distributor to find out where we can get the kit for repair.  But he needs to know how to get the darn thing off.  Thanks, Lee and Paul
