Raymarine Wind Machine - ST60 - Acting UP!

My Raymarine ST60 Wind System gauge is acting up.  The gauge needle sometime spins for no appearent reason, even though the mast head transducer unit is stationary and pointing in a consistent direction.   When it not spinning, it is pointing a total different direction from the mast head unit.   I have reset the unit to factor spec and that had no effect on the unit.
The wind speed appears to be working find.  

Any idea what might be the problem?

Hey Don
The same thing happened to me with an ST-50 unit.  It's the control board inside the display unit. Just pull the display and send it back to Raymarine for repair.  They're pretty quick about turning units around. Cost about $175.
