Update
One nice thing about the PO is that what little maintenance that he did do on the boat he had the marina do the work. I was able to talk to the service and found out that they replaced the pipe from the transom and the fittings and the aqua muffler. The owner told the marina not to clean up because he would do that, I guess that didn't happen.

melp : In that case (all the work that the yard did on the exhaust system) you just might be OK.  I'd run the engine when you get back in the water and then examine all of the exhaust system AGAIN, to make sure there are no more leaks!!  Be sure to check that that water hose from the anti syphon valve to the riser nipple (just above the muffler intake - is NYLON hose and NOT wire reinforced hose!!
