I want to build a propane storage locker like Ron Hill did. I like that project.  Although I don't have the original parts for the lid.  My boat has never had a range.  They decided to make it a bar instead.

The storage locker prices to buy are ridiculous.

Does anyone know if you can buy the lid?

If not do you think one could be built?

Thanks,

Since propane is heavier than air, it will flow out the drain in the bottom of the box before it will vent out the top.  Therefore, the cover is only necessary to deflect a gas leak.  You can fashion any cover that forms a seal.  It need not be the original unit.

Donna and Doug,
Seaward products has the lids for the propane boxes. They are in Whittier, CA. Phone number is 562-699-7997. They also have the upgraded electrical panels. None of their stuff is cheap though. Hope this helps.
