M 25XP Valve Adjustment

I am planning to adjust the valves on my engine for the first time this weekend. I can't seem to find any reference in the tech notes or on the forum, but I am wondering if there is anything I should be careful of. I do have a new valve cover gasket and I have had a lot of experience with gas engines.

       It would be helpfull to replace the valve cover gasket to insure that there wont be an oil leak from the old compressed v/c gasket.
