Dinghy Davits
I recently added a set of dinghy davits to my
1986 C34 (Hull 54). They were made by Ocean Marine in Canada
and turned out excellent. These are extremely well made units
and the service I got was first class. Installed cost was
about $800 and took me about 4 hours. Only 4 holes through the
hull right above the rub rail; the rest of the mounting is
done to the aft cockpit railing. Davits easily handle my
9'6" inflatable with a 5hp motor (~130 lbs.) and collapse
nicely when not in use. Contact Ocean Marine (Mike Thomas -
proprietor is super to work with) at http://www.vru.com/ocean/
(Robert.Mack@digital.com).
