am worried about losing some of the desirable capabilities of
the Autohelm suite of electronics if I decide to purchase
another manufacturers nav equipment. Anyone have
experience in this area?
The Raytheon / Autohelm instruments are compatible with all
GPS NMEA standard interfaces. Performance of the Sea Talk
propietary interface will not be compromised by the use of
another manufacturers products (Mark
Rochlin, Ibis, #1338).
