All,

A few have been asking about a SmartPlug.  Below is the Catalina group pricing for 2015.

Note that the items on special are only thru 2/28. I must submit the order for those the evening of Thursday 2/26 (because I might possibly be unavailable for email, etc., on Friday 2/27.)

If anyone is interested in a group purchase, please email me OFFLIST and I will email an Order Form!
So if you want one on the special DO IT TODAY, not Wed or Thur.
Orders for the Feb. special will need to be via PayPal, not mailed check.

**** There may be other sources, vendors with specials or lower pricing on some items, so check around ***

Again, the flat rate UPS shipping is $9 (lower 48 only.)
The shipper can also arrange USPS Priority Mail to other areas.

A few non-electrician types have asked "what do I need to buy?"

If your current cord is okay and in good shape (at the shore connector end also!!):

You need the B30ASSY retrofit kit. it includes a (fermale) BF30 cord-end connector (cord "plug") and a (male) BM30S boatside stainless steel inlet.
You cut off the end of your good cord and install the new "plug."  The boatside connector is the same form factor and fits the screw holes of your twist-lock inlet - simply remove and replace.

If your cord is damaged, or is in such shape that you may need to replace it in the new few years:

You need a new dual-configuration cord -- order either a 25' cord (p/n C30253) or 50' cord (p/n C30503) AND a male boatside inlet (p/n BM30S.)

If you want a 3-prong "extension cord" adapter for your SmartPlug inlet, as many have to fit their twist-lock inlets (to use while on the hard or to take when cruising)

Order another female cord end connector (p/n BF30) (the cord "plug" end) and get a heavy duty, 3-prong plug (under 10 bucks at one of the box box stores.)  Get a quality back wired, heavy duty like a Hubbell brand.   Cut 1-foot from your cord, and install the BF30 and male plug and voila' you have your adapter.  Suggest you seal the cable wire ends once terminated at the plug using silicone so that moisture can't get to them and corrosion work up into the untinned wires.

If you want to order any items email me and I will return an Group Purchase Order Form/payment info, or try to answer any other questions.

Cheers,
Ken
