Switching direction of furler

Is there a way to change which direction the furler rolls up the sails.  The way it is now, the uv protector on the jib isn't on the outside when rolled up.  The PO must have been doing it for years.  Kind of hard to tell because it's white like the sail. My local loft said the sail was pretty bad.  Just got a new jib and want to get it working right.

Before you put the new sail up just twist the drum the way you want it to go.

You didn't reveal what furler you have, but as a GENERAL statement, SURE!
Wind the furling line in the opposite direction on the drum, and the headsail will furl the opposite way.
ie., if you want the sail to wrap up counterclockwise, wind the drum CCW (line exits the port side of the drum.)
If you want it to furl CW, wind the drum CW. (line exits the stbd side of the drum.)

You may need to adjust the drum position or the last furler line block to maintain a fair lead into the drum.

Good luck,
Ken
Twenty years from now you'll be more disappointed by the things you didn't do, than by the ones you did.
So throw off the bowlines.  Sail away from the safe harbor.  Catch the tradewinds in your sails.

Thanks
Thought it may be this simple but wanted to ask.

mre : If you still have the Hood 915 furler you don't have to do anything.

Just roll the continuous line in the opposite direction!
