C34 missing holding tank?

Purchased a C34 today!!!!!! It has two water tanks, 50 gallons each,  and no holding tank. It is 1988  vintage and pristine. Owner swears it never had a holding tank and the first owner said it was made that way by Catalina. Does anyone have the true story out there?

By the way. I am looking forward to feasting on the info from this forum!!!

Mak : The standard C34 coming out of the factory had a translucent 24 gallon water tank on the starboard side (under the settee) and black 24 gallon waste tank under the port side (settee).
Maybe it was modified ?? 
What ever you do don't get a collapsable tank for the waste, the smell will get to you in less than a year.
The only solution if you still want both water tanks is an ElectraSan type 1 sanitation device.
