I just installed a Tides Strong main sail track system today. Fortunately all my angst-ridden measurements proved accurate and it went up easily. So far at the dock, I love it! It is totally friction-free. Great for my old muscles and single-handing. Installing the slides on the sail was an interesting experience. My plan was to Dremel tool off the existing plastic slides and install the new stainless Tide System slides in the old webbing. After cutting/melting off a couple of the slides, I discovered that perhaps some of my old sail's webbing wasn't as "good" as I had hoped. So off the the local Ullman Sails loft, with instructions to "make it right". One week and only $118 later, they had replaced 8 old/bad webbings and installed my 18 new slides. Sailmakers do not make enough money in my book. I will post again after I sail test it.
