I have checked everything I could find online and while there used to be ones that fit there is nothing now.  I have also done all the big boxes stores and walked around with a measuring tape.  Have not checked lowes and HD and some of the smaller appliance only stores but have made a few calls.  Pretty frustrated so far but will keep trying.

I have continued to use EarthNC on a number of test sails and continue to be impressed.   For very little money I feel like I have a very accurate and easy to use color chartplotter back-up.  And now just 2 weeks before we leave for 2 weeks cruising in the Abacos they release all of the Bahamas charts.  I have already downloaded the various charts so i won't need any wireless or cell coverage and will now be covered including the Gulfstream crossing and all the Cays down to Elbow Cay in the Abacos.   Better than the handheld black and white which was my previous back-up.  It now is in the ditch bag in case I need it.

Also found a very inexpensive Anchorwatch program for the iPad which I will be using when on the hook.

Wanted to bump this thread.  My microwave has given up and I need to replace and am finding the same issues that started this thread.  No one seems to make one that fits into the MKII space.  Mine was a GE from Catalina and they do not make that model anymore.  Can't find any used or eBay ones.  Has anyone found a microwave that fits?   It is the 9 3/4 height that is the issue.  Lots of them out there less than 18" wide and less than 13 inches deep.  But nothing less than about 10 1/4 inches tall

Anyone found a good recent source for the MKII Mobella latches for the cabinets?  Or a cheaper, suitable replacement latch?

Joe, we be a banana boat anyway. My favorite fruit and normally the way I act.

I suspected as much.

Lance - Lights look good, but I always heard bananas on a boat were bad luck.

These two photos might help show one option

I will look again on Saturday Ron but I did not see anything on the front at all and turned the thing every which way.

I just looked at your write-up and attached picture and mine definitely does not have the screw heads shown in the picture.   I am sure the indented push "button" on the bottom is the key to something, I just am not sure what.

Anyone know how the heck you get the bi-color lense off to replace the bulb?  There is a small indent on the bottom of the fiuxture but I could not for the life of me figure it out.  I thought I might have to loosen the two screws on the back but all that did is loosen the fixture from the boat moutning plate (since they are the actual mounting screws) and now the two nuts are also loose inside that fixture (I know, I know).  I thought I was a pretty smart guy but this one has me stumped.  Help?

1.  Run very hot water over the outside until the ice inside totally melts.

2.  Gently remove the plastic insert (that is the one of the two you have that did not already break).

3.  Throw the trays in the aft cabin right next to the too small danforth anchor that came with the boat and will never get used.

4.  Drink your scotch without ice as it should be drank anyway.

One thing I have tried is this and they work pretty well.  http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/ice-cube-bags-10-pack/30314

All I have to say is if you can get your girl friend up the mast, you need to marry that woman and keep her around.  What an asset.

Ralph

It is certainly a significant item for the PRO side of the equation.  She went halfway up to run a spreader halyard.  When I asked her this weekend about the mast head she said why not.  Just another 15 feet.
