I have a double fairlead mounted under each side of my traveler. These direct the mainsheet and halyards to the winches next to the companionway. However, the insides of the fairleads aren't smooth but have ridges or dimples that give friction on my lines. Are they supposed to be this way? I haven't seen this before and am wondering if it's intentional or something the PO did. I'd prefer having them smooth. I am attaching a photo, hope it works.

on my 1986 C34, the shower pump was located behind the cabinet holding the toilet paper.

For me they come out if you lift up until the bottom comes out of the slot, then pull the bottom forward.

I installed a B&G WS310 ( last year and have had no troubke at all. It plugs into my NMEA2k and connects to my raymarine axiom head unit. Works great.

I have a small (7.5') inflatable that I was planning to store just ahead of the mast, covering the Vberth hatch. Any suggestions on best practices to tie it down? or will this always be a problem and I should store it elsewhere?
thanks!

I'm definitely not an expert, but someone told me once that rough sailing could stir up the fuel tank and cause problems starting that resolved later after it settled.

Hi David, I've been a LISCA member for a while, but last year let my membership slip because I got distracted with other things... need to renew this year. I know there is an event coming up in a couple weeks, a meetup in Bayville. Would love to meet you at some point!

those Garhauer blocks look quite different from what came with my 86 C34 - does anyone have a pic of how they've set them up? I often have problems on the port side with the sheet rubbing on the cockpit edge as it comes across to the inner side of the winch.

are you looking for a slip? They can be hard to find. Others may have better suggestions, but the waiting list for a slip in Port Jefferson (where we are) is many years long. I gave up. We are on a mooring in Port Jeff harbor, there are a couple launch services that take you out for an annual fee. Further west there are marinas in setauket, stony brook, king's park and several around northport. No idea if they have slips available...
good luck and I hope to see you when you get here! We have a few C34s in Port Jeff harbor.

I got a new LCD on ebay and it was easy to replace and the display was like new afterward.

thanks Glenn, that isn't what they suggested to me, they said to use 30-13US and 30-14US, and a triple block (?) instead of the fiddle. I asked for clarification.

I've been trying for a couple months now to get a quote for a new mainsheet block set from Garhauer. Unfortunately it seems that things are not as smooth without Guido. I'm sure they are doing their best. Recently they sent me a list of blocks, but I don't think it's right. Can you tell me the part number for the fiddle block that you received?
thanks!

oh no!! so sad.
I had been putting off calling him this winter to replace my mainsheet blocks, and now it's really sad to look at my to-do list and see his name.

my wife bought me a set of new cockpit cushions for my Mk I and I'm wondering if anyone wants my old ones before I put them in the trash. The old set had some of the seam stitching coming apart on the 2 long bench cushions. The curved helm cushion is in very good shape. Not sure if the bench ones are useful to anyone - the foam is good and you could get them recovered I suppose. I don't want anything for them other than actual shipping cost, I hate to throw them in the landfill and thought I'd ask here first.
I'm on Long Island, so if you're local you could stop by and pick them up. Otherwise I can weigh them and get a UPS quote.

Sorry I don't understand what happened to the arm portion. Can you explain or show a pic? I thought it was the part you turn that got damaged.
