[Catalina 34]

This Catalina 34 has many upgrades including an oversize heat exchanger on the Universal 25. Feathering prop. Well kept teak. Very good upholstery, Almost new dodger/bimini with full connector between. AC/DC refrigerator & hot water. Microwave. and Cabin sole refinished last year. Sail inventory includes 150 mylar, 135 dacron genoa and a working jib. All in excellent condition. Whisker pole with line controlled mast track. Auto-helm, wing keel. She won the Daytona to Charleston Gulfstreamer Race in 2010 and is raced competetively in Charleston harbor. Also an excellent cruiser. 3-4 months left on annual slip in Charleston. It is a 2 blade feathering prop.

I am getting ready to put a 14" diameter, 9 degree pitch feathering prop on my 34. Are there any negatives to this. I am trying to get more sailing speed for racing. Thanks.

[1988 Catalina 34]

My nonskid on my 1988 Catalina 34 is showing some wear. I am seeing grey/silver spots wearing through. It has been suggested locally that I paint, but to be careful and not apply too much as to ruin the effectiveness of the nonskid.

Any suggestions? Am I on the right track? What paint to use? How to prep surface?

Where can I finds an easy place to photo or pencil trace the HIN on my '88 C34. I need it for documentation. You would not believe the issues I am having with this. Thanks.

I need a Mercury Control Switch for my Hillerange oven. Pilot will light but oven does not turn on. I have replaced the thermostst but that did not help. Does anyone have a source for this? Thanks.

I have two identical flourescent galley lights installed over the refrigerator on the starboard side under the storage cabinet. Does anyone have a source on these lights. I want to replace the units entirely. Thanks.

I have a standard rig 34, 1988 vintage. Is the cabin sole laminate or hardwood? What is the best way to clean it - Murphy's?Thanks.

Purchased a C34 today!!!!!! It has two water tanks, 50 gallons each,  and no holding tank. It is 1988  vintage and pristine. Owner swears it never had a holding tank and the first owner said it was made that way by Catalina. Does anyone have the true story out there?

By the way. I am looking forward to feasting on the info from this forum!!!
