Fuzzy,

I think I have the 40pt per day.  I don't use the tank anymore,  I find that attaching the short hose to the back of the unit and having it drain directly into the sink is much easier.  I can leave the boat for any length of time and the unit will continue to run.  If you use the tank, It will fill in a very short period of time and then shut the unit down until it is drained.  It does get very warm down below after the unit has run for a period of time.  I have left damp towels in the head and the next day they are completely dry.  It really is the way to go for a boat.
best of luck,

I replaced hose that ran under the fiberglas flooring by drilling a hole in the end of the hose to be removed and tying a nylon string to the end of the hose when I pulled the hose out i removed the string from the old hose, attached it to the new hose and used the string to now pull the new hose back the other direction.  Worked great every time.
Good luck,

I tried different styles of moisture collectors and finally purchased a dehumidifier for about $200.  It has about a one gallon collection tank that was full after about the first 36 hours of use.  I then connected an external hose to it so that it now drains directly into the galley sink and out to sea.  When you use this dehumidifier you are told to close up the boat completely, no hatches left open.  I also leave all doors open, ie head and rear stateroom so that they are included in the circulation.  The machine runs any time I am away from the boat.  I believe it is the best investment I have made.

The other advise given about the holding tank hoses was good!  If you still have the black hose they are most likely permeated with waste and need to be change with the newer white hose.

Hope this helps,
