Title: Looking for Edson bracket
Post by: mel low on March 03, 2012, 08:55:43 PM
I just purchased the new Raymarine E7 plotter, and am looking for a bracket that will match the bracket I now have for my radar (see pics).  The bracket is an Edson, the numbers I can read on it are _G 831 or B-533.  Anyone out there have something I can use?

What Stu said, although you may want to call them-my guess is that could be obsolete. I spent a lot of the day lookimg at instrument mounting, and this is the closest I found from Edson, to what you are looking for.

Check out one of my previous posts on navpod housings.

Their website is  www.oceanequipment.com

It's great if you can set it up so that it swivels so that you can be in front of or in back of the helm.

Here is a company that has helped me with Edson parts before (a few of years ago).  The prices were much less than from Edson.  D & R Marine, inc.  508 644 3001   The website doesn't show much, but here it is.

May be worth a call

Jim I went on the D & R web site and found a side bracket from Edson. When I called Ruddy they had several at only $36.00. So I ordered two so they will match. He also said he has Edson boxes so I maybe able to match the other one I have. What a great find!!!!!!! Thanks for the post. Like everyone says this site is great, thanks everyone.

Happy to help.  FYI I think that he can get any thing Edson.  If I remember correctly, they are close to the shop/warehouse and can get returns and such.

I have a complete instrument pod available. Came off a 2003. I don't know your dimensional need for E equipment. Mine is for 1" conduit guard.
