Title: Fuel Sending Unit
Post by: mtullier on August 03, 2011, 01:49:20 PM
Has anyone ever had any luck repairing the fuel sending unit for the fuel gauge?  All wiring and gauge troubleshooting checked out OK.  Thanks

Mike : Your problem is probably in the winding of the wire that changes the resistance on the tank sending unit.  I screwed around with my unit and couldn't get it to work, so don't waste your time.

Wrote a Mainsheet article on changing out mine about 10 years ago.  Not difficult to do just make sure that you get a replacement unit for a tank depth of 12" to 24".
