Title: Single handed docking - midship spring line size question
Post by: Brad Young on February 13, 2010, 12:24:55 PM
I am making a spring line similar to the Nauti Duck Dock-A-Matic. I found the link from this C34ia forum. (thanks) from here (Stu): http://c34.org/bbs/index.php/topic,5445.0.html

What size line should I use for a Catalina 34?

Thanks
brad

Brad : To make a spring line for a C34, I'd use 1/2" line.

Brad,
I use 3 strand nylon and replace it every year or so.  The line isn't that long that it stretches a lot, but I feel that it leads to a softer stop.
Happy landings.
