Title: Can I put a Catalina 34 in a 34 foot slip at South Beach Marina in San Francisco
Post by: rob on June 01, 2009, 04:58:26 PM
I've waited 6 years for my name to come up for a 34 foot slip at South Beach Marina in San Francisco. I now have the slip and have an offer in on my dream boat - a Catalina 34 - for that slip.

I'm now learning that I may have been on the wrong list all these years for that boat and I may need to start all over again. They seem adamant (at least the one person I spoke to) that no section of the boat can extend more than 12 inches over the length of the slip.  IE - no more than 35 feet overall.

Does anyone out there have a Catalina 34 in a 34 foot slip at South Beach?

Thanks very much,
Rob

THANKS VERY MUCH STU AND RAY.. ITS LOOKING GOOD WE MAY SEE YOU ON THE BAY (AND IN THE SLIP) IN JULY!  THANKS AGAIN,
ROB

Super!   Hope your offer is accepted.

Yes, most of the C34's in SBH are in 34 feet slips - on D and E docks.  My boat is in Slip D040.

Rob, the specs say the boat is 34'-6".  Show 'em the brochure.  Here:  http://www.c34.org/images/c34_88_brochure_4.jpg
