Title: raw water strainer
Post by: brant on February 02, 2008, 04:35:14 PM
I have an 87 C34.  There is a raw water filter/strainer immediately after the raw water through-hull for the engine. It looks like many of the models of the Jabsco type, but there are no markings to give me a manufacturer or model.  There was a stainless screen, a cylinder about 1 3/8" by 3", but it has completely disintegrated.  I'd like to replace the screen, but can't track down a similar part on the Jabsco website, and I can't find the specific information on make and model using any of the C34 threads.  Has anyone been down this road before?  Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

you can buy a replacement jabsco at west marine for about $20-. you will be hard pressed to find the screen alone, i tried...jeff
