Title: PC Sailing Simulators
Post by: Joe and Carol on June 27, 2007, 01:19:32 PM
Does anyone know a sailing simulator program specific to the C34?  I've surfed the net today to find a free download with little luck.  Is software available to sail the C34 on the computer screen?

I did find an interesting web site to let one see how to "haul the chilli"  Look up:

        nationalgeographic.com/volvooceanrace/interactives/sailing/index.html

Nice teaching presentation of points of sail showing wind and speed with ability to adjust main and rudder.  Try it you'll like it!

Check out Posey sailing simulator (http://www.poseysail.com/).  It is not specific to the C34 but you can select from different boat designs including cruisers and racer/cruisers.

You might to check out The virtual skipper game. I find that controls and feel of the game are realistic to actual sailing.
Their new America's Cup release is quite fun!
