Title: AC switch for the outlets
Post by: Jeff Tancock on June 19, 2007, 05:46:15 PM
I'm wondering if anyone can save me a trip to the boat and tell me what they know about the push button off/on switch for the 120 volt outlets on the electrical panel of my 1988 (#630).
A candlestick holder fell and broke off the tip of the switch and needing to get a guest to the airport I didn't have time to remove it. I am thinking that it is just a switch and not a circuit breaker and that it is probably 30 amps. Any helpful comments would be appreciated.

Jeff - If it's the AC main, then yes, it's probably 30 amp. Individual circuits would likely be 10, 15 or 20 amp depending on whether it's for the outlets, battery charger, or water heater. You can get replacements from Seaward Products.

It IS a circuit breaker and the amperage should be marked on it somewhere but since you're not at the boat Seaward may be able to help you with determining that if you can give then an accurate discription of it .
Good luck
