I need to transition from the standard 1 1/2 inch
sink tail (male screw) down to a 3/4 inch hose which
drains to my thru hull. I have been up and down the
Aisles at HDX and Lowe's. No luck.
Any tips?
It looks like the prior owner used some sort of cut off funnel
OO7 : I've seen and used a "rubberized" adapter that has numerous step downs in its length and you cutoff the piece with the diameters you want!
Thought it may have been Lowe's or Home Depot? Maybe it was a plumbing store??, but that type adapter is out there!
A thought

He's Italian.
We use our hands to express ourselves.
I used these: https://smile.amazon.com/Forespar-Drain-Degree-Plastic-Flange/dp/B0942NDKB8
The upper piece goes between the drain and the tailpiece nut, and the lower part threads over the top part.
Gives you 1" hose barb. I used 1" hose and a marelon 1" barb to 3/4" npt at the seacock because it has a large opening all the way through, larger than the bronze groco equivalent. Used a 1" wye to combine the two sinks' 1" hoses.
My drains are so fast.
007 & Lazy : Maybe we shouldn't stray quite so far from the topic!
Why not? It was funny! :clap

Just to be precise it must be something else -- Forespar doesn't manufacture a 1" x 3/4" NPT Marleon hose barb. Nor a 1" x 3/4" tailpipe (w/ straight thread to fit the valve.) At least in the most-recent catalog that I saw.
There ARE suitable glass-reinforced-polyethylene hose barbs available (1" x 3/4" NPT.)
But one should never, ever, use a pvc (gray) hose barb below the waterline.

Here is another with 3/4 npt.

Here's a direct-to-1" adapter

Just cut off the 3/4" barb.

Thank you for those links- I'm going to bookmark them.
Very odd, I've searched for that size and they're not listed on the forespar site on their plumbing parts (attached)
Thx!
Have you given any thought to putting in a larger thru hull?
