I recently cracked the pump cylinder on my jabsco head pump.  I was on the jabsco web site for parts information and left a message on their server.  Keith from jabsco e-mailed me back the next day to say they were sending a new pump cylinder free of charge.  Good service, quick response, totally unexpected.  Now if I can figure out was caused it to crack?  Maybe someone pumped on the wet side without the seacock open?

Did you winterize the head last Fall?  I pull the through hull inlet hose and pour pink anti-freeze down the hose while my lovely assistant operates the head pump.  A good time to add some head lube or vedgetable oil to lubricate the seals, too.

Hi Charlie,  Yes, we winterized everything.  It worked fine since the beginning of April.  Then something mysterious happened!
