Hello,
Purchased a 1986 hull#237 last week. Sent off the dues on Friday to join assoc. and the tech note disc as I have now a list of projects. One of which is the wiring harness upgrade with volt meter as it has not been done by the P.O. I need the part number and where to order so I can get it put on before an up coming vacation on Lake Erie. Alternator Project is being done as we speak.
This site is a wonderfull!! It helped in my decision making process and buying process. I thank all of you for that help. I look forward to contributing as I go thru the complete upgrade and repair process.

 Seawrd Products is the source

The Catalina 27/270 wesbite also has a complete writeup on this, including the wiring diagrams.

I'll find the URL and post it later.
