I am looking for a waterproof box for my plotter (8 3/4" wide x 5 1/2" high x 5" deep) so that I can mount it on my Edson pedestal.  Does anyone have any options?

mel : If you look in the May 2009 Mainsheet tech notes, you'll see an article on how I "clamped" my Garmin 545 chart plotter to the Edson pedestal guard.

It allows me to remove it, so no need for a waterproof guard.  A thought

For the "original equipment look" the best is a Navpod housing. The front panel can be cut out with a jigsaw to fit any display. Navpod makes all the factory-original housings.

Mel,
Here is a picture of a chart plotter mounted in a Navpod designed foe a power boat in the sense that it is in a deck mount rather than a pedestal mount. It is mounted on a shelf with a swivel bracket so that you can see it from both the helm and the forward cockpit or even from down below in the cabin if needed. This is on the boat that I crewed on from Cabo San Lucas to San Diego and it worked very well.

Mel, one of the very important items in Mike's post and picture is that you do not become a "slave behind the wheel" when you install your equipment.
