Ok all, we're looking ahead to the time we move Kitty's Cat from Lake Lanier to Ft. Walton Beach, FL. I have several long term projects to help get us ready for salt water. I keep hearing from you saltwater guys about t-ing the head intake to the sink drain. Has anyone considered,adding a small 1-2 gallon tank for the sink to drain into and have the head intake line located at the bottom of the tank? The tank would also have a line out the top going to the traditional drain through-hull. Just a concept; but, seems like the best way to maximize fresh water use.

Lance, it's absolutely NOT necessary.  You use the head sink only on the last flush of the day.  Always glad to save you some work.

But unfortunately a bad idea...'cuz gray water contains soap scum, tooth paste, hair, body oils, and bacteria that are not good for the toilet pump and will make your holding tank a whole lot harder to manage to prevent odors.

So tee the intake line into the sink drain...flush with raw water as you've always done, then use the sink to supply CLEAN fresh water to rinse the sea water out of the system before the boat will sit.
