Bob : You didn't mention a brand name.  I'd find out who in your area services your brand, because most techs can service any A/C system; but a rep from THAT company will have the parts in his truck.   A thought

Ron,its a Mermaid but I think (hope)I only need a charge. Air wasn't as cold as usual last season.
