Hello all,

I've been reading through recent threads to see who's doing what and thought it might make sense to start a thread for the purpose of providing a place to announce trips or trip progress.

To kick it off...We're headed out tomorrow, July 30 from Anacortes to spend until August 10 drifting around the Gulf Islands.  No time for a long trip this year.  General route will be Bedwell, Saturna, Montegue, Ganges, Thetis, maybe Silva Bay, problably Port Browning, and then home - all subject to daily revision!

Gorbash is back home.  Good trip around the usual Gulf Island haunts.  Great weather.

The kids bought a Catalina 27.  We're meeting them at Hope Island this weekend for their maiden voyage.  We'll also have some neighbors on board, so there will be a bunch of us.  We'll probably do the sticky marshmallow thing Saturday night around a campfire, so if you're passing through stop in and say hi.

There are some local sailors on the SSCA website planning a get together at Oak Harbor over the Veteran's Day Weekend.  Looks like maybe three boats attending so far.  The more the merrier!  I'll keep you posted if anyone is interested.

It's been a long winter for us, with all the crappy weather and a move to a different home.  We've been chomping at the bit for a few weeks to get out.  The weather looks like it may be decent his weekend.  We're probably going to head over to Coronet Bay, maybe Hope Island.  Anyone else going out this weekend?
