Say you've posted a message and you realize you've made a mistake.  Maybe you said something in anger you'd like to retract, or maybe you said one thing but meant somthing else.  With e-mail, once it's sent there's no taking it back, but with this message board, you can modify a message after it's posted.
 
 It's really quite easy.  Just click on the little symbol with the pencil on the bottom.  Up comes your message, and you're free to modify it to your heart's content.  Repost and you angry reply or mistake is erased.  Just like that.
