Hey folks, this is our 6th season hauling Coral Wave, and we've just never been able to get her to sit right on the cradle. Each year we've moved her a little further forward or aft, trying to get the perfect slight bow up position. We just can't seem to get it right. This year we got her the closest to the exact position shown in the manual, and she's now bow way up. We'll be able to ski off her all winter in this position. Any ideas what we're doing wrong? The previous owner had a separate jack stand built that goes just forward of the rudder. Should we be putting more weight on that? It's just snug. I try to keep all the weight on the keel, with the pads just snug. Should I be allowing more pressure on the aft pads and that extra stand? My understanding is that they're just there to balance the boat, not to position it. I've contemplated making some sort of wedge to put under the aft end of the keel.

Aaron : With a wing keel you want the maximum boat weight on the bow so you don't create a "Catalina Smile"!!

Shamrock a 2001 MKII with a wing keel sits on jack stands so I'm not sure about the cradle.  The keel blocks 8*8s and 2*10s are set near level both fore and aft and side by side.  That results in Shamrock sitting close to her waterline being near level.  Just the way I like it.
If you can take some pictures that might help us see what's happening.
